What's new in GovOps Version 1.1
June 2022
Highlights
- Access to multiple customers' Use Case data
- Customer-specific Use Case Catalog
- Search on Library page
- Navigator heatmap - new features and improvements
- Library UI improvements
- System improvements
A single user can now be assigned more than one customer, with the ability to access each customer’s Use Case Library and Catalog on the application using a single login. Using the Customer drop-down, you can toggle between customers, helping you easily manage multiple entities/business units within an organization or multiple organizations.
A separate Catalog page is now available, to view relevant Use Cases from CyberProof’s extensive master Use Case content repository. This page can help discover Use Cases to improve threat detection coverage.
Users with access to multiple customers will be able to view a Catalog for each customer, using the Customer drop-down. The Catalog Use Cases can also be plotted on the MITRE ATT&CK Navigator as a heatmap, using the View in Navigator button.
You can now find Use Cases by typing the Use Case Name or ID in the search bar at the top right of the Library page. Searched keywords will be highlighted, to identify why Use Cases are part of the search result.
Now, when clicking the View in Navigator button, you will see a MITRE ATT&CK NAVIGATOR heatmap, with shades of the same color indicating coverage strength. The Navigator has been upgraded to v4.5.5, to include new capabilities to link adding metadata and links to Techniques. The Navigator legend will also be open by default.
Additionally, on hovering over Technique, you will now see the number of Use Cases per Log source type, along with the score (number of Use Cases). This will help you determine the Log source type coverage for each Technique.
As part of the Library UI improvements, you can now be better informed on system states and actions with loaders, error pages, and illustrations. Additionally, the new Log Source Vendor field is available in the Use Case Detail General section, where you can get additional information.
We have improved application performance, and also resolved data inconsistency caused to eventual consistency, by restricting multiple ingestion runs. We have also fixed multiple SonarQube and VAPT issues, and improved code quality.
- The Use Case list container expands with certain formatting in the Response Playbook field (UCC-1303).
- Error as a standalone Micro Frontend application (UCC-1226).
- A long string pasted in the Filter fields distorts the UI (UCC-696).
- The Customer Selection dropdown UI breaks for a Customer Name with more than six uppercase characters (UCC-1403).
